Website Androscoggin Bank

Client Service Representative – Downtown Portland
Middle Street  – Full Time (40 hours/week)

Working at Androscoggin Bank means that you’ll make a difference in a solid, growing company that is committed to supporting Maine’s communities and being Maine’s best business Bank. You’ll have access to training and professional development resources, excellent benefits including paid volunteer time, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement and more, and be part of a team of high performing, engaged and empower colleagues.

Client Service Representatives are the face of the Bank, working with their team to directly service individual and business clients. This is an impactful position, both for the Bank and for your clients.

The pay rate for this position will depend upon experience;  advanced placement possible for a well-qualified candidate!

After thorough training, Androscoggin Bank’s Client Service Representatives perform a wide variety of service tasks including teller functions, opening new checking and savings accounts/services along with handling moderately complex transactions professionally and accurately.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for understanding the financial needs of clients, and providing outstanding solutions-based service. You’ll create strong relationships with clients – who will become your regulars as you become their Banker – enabling you to provide them with personalized service. This includes recognizing other financial service needs such as  mortgages, commercial loans and investment services, and referring those customers to appropriate banking specialists.

In Portland, you are often interacting with business/commercial clients, providing them with the services they need to help their businesses be successful.

Candidates for this position should possess exceptional customer service skills, a sales orientation and a high degree of accuracy in managing cash and following procedures. The ability to engage with business and individual clients in an engaging, professional manner is key to success, as is your ability to work well with your team of coworkers.

This 40 hours per week, full time position will be located in Portland, and includes some Saturday mornings (rotating coverage) until noon.

This position carries great benefits, including paid time off, holiday pay, 401k participation with a generous match (we put money in your 401k even if you don’t), and access to Androscoggin Bank’s full insurance benefit package (medical, dental, vision, life, and disability). Androscoggin Bank grants new parents paid parental leave, and also offers paid volunteer time. (And YES, we pay for your parking in Portland!)

Hoping you could advance your career and your education? We can help. Androscoggin Bank is committed to supporting employee development, and employee benefits include tuition and education reimbursement.

Do you wish you could be more involved and connected in your company, beyond the level of your department? Androscoggin Bank offers that to you. Project teams, committees, events, in-house education, and more. It’s an amazing place to work.

Requirements:  Solid experience in customer service and a sales orientation, and demonstrated success in accuracy with cash or data management.  High school diploma or equivalent. We’d love to see candidates with previous success in a customer-facing banking position. But – even without experience, if you have a real spark, a professional demeanor, and an honest and easy ability to connect with people, we’d like to see you apply. We may train a strong candidate who is interested in a career in banking.

High School Diploma or GED required. Some college coursework preferred.
