We are seeking a Program Developer to work with our Workforce Solutions team at CEI. This position is based in Brunswick, Maine and serves CEI clients throughout the state with a mix of in-person, video and telephone meetings.

What you’ll be doing:
The Program Developer will work with business owners to develop and execute tailored recruitment and training plans that target populations facing barriers to employment. Creating relationships between business owners and organizations that help people get and keep jobs is a key element of this role.
Our new Program Developer will also encourage and advise business owners to implement mutually beneficial programs that improve job quality while delivering competitive advantage to the business. Building trust with business owners, monitoring HR practices and keeping abreast of unique or specialized programs that provide basic benefits and a fair and engaging workplace is critical to success.
While the role is based out of our Brunswick, Maine office, due to the COVID-19 pandemic our teams have shifted to working remotely from home. You will service clients throughout the state via remote technology and tools so you must have reliable internet access at home as part of the role requirements.
CEI continues to monitor the COVID-19 crisis. When it is safe to make the transition back to our offices, we will do so in compliance with federal and state CDC guidelines and with a specific plan in place that ensures the safety of our staff and clients.
Who you are and what you’ll bring to the role:
-You have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience helping to improve opportunities for workers and businesses through workforce development or in a human resources consulting role;
-A track record of success convening meetings with a variety of stakeholders to drive specific outcomes;
-Demonstrated ability working equitably and respectfully with diverse people from a wide range of races, ethnicities, backgrounds and identities;
-Experience advising businesses and can coach or influence a person to take action frequently;
-Deep knowledge of Maine state workforce education and job training programs;
-Broad knowledge of Human Resources programs and policies;
-Proven ability to establish priorities and work on multiple simultaneous tasks with tight deadlines;
-Recent experience self-directing, taking initiative and strong sense of self accountability;
-Demonstrated critical thinking skills, including the ability to break down and connect information from a variety of sources to create simple, easy-to-understand content;
-A positive attitude and willingness to be challenged and learn new skills;
-Ability to iterate and adapt to uncertainty and changing situations;
-Strong software skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word. Sharepoint a plus!
-Ability to use web based virtual meeting platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams and others;
-Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
