Some of the key responsibilities in this role will be: 

  • You will be responsible for recruitment and talent development including: External Talent: Collaborating with people managers to build a pool of skilled and diverse organizational talent.
  • College Relations/Internships: Building strong college, university, and community college partnerships to identify diverse talent for internship program.
  • Internal Talent Development: Working to identify and coordinate leadership and management training, career development opportunities, and build and maintain an internal training and development resource library.
  • You will help support in the implementation of CEI’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives by working with the SVP of HR to develop, measure and identify trends in engagement, performance, pay and retention of diverse employees.
  • You will support the overall efforts of the HR and Office Administration functions to optimize effectiveness, compliance, efficiency, and employee engagement.
  • You will assist with the preparation of annual EEO and Affirmative Action plan reports.
  • You will produce, maintain, and update standard operating procedures for recruitment and training.
  • You will participate in team meetings and provide support to others when needed.

Preferred candidates will have: 

  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, organizational development or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years human resources experience specializing in recruitment and talent development.
  • A direct connection and/or lived experience to/in BIPOC, immigrant and/or women in LGBTQ+ communities and / or organizations that serve these communities preferred.
  • Genuine curiosity and interest in learning about all cultures and diverse populations.
  • Strong technical abilities using MS office systems, including high proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems, job boards, and other recruitment tools and platforms a plus.

Other details: 

This is a full-time 40 hour per week position with excellent benefits and generous time off. The role is based out of our main office in Brunswick. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic our teams continue to work remotely from home although we are permitting some staff to work from our offices, following our current COVID-19 office protocols. CEI is piloting a hybrid return-to-work policy beginning in January 2022.

Staff are strongly encouraged to get fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and all new hires are required to report vaccination status to the SVP of HR and Office Administration. This information is kept in a separate, confidential file and reported in aggregate to leadership. CEI continues to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and updates our office protocols following guidance from the state and federal CDC.
