Health and Human Services Department – Social Services Division – Family Shelter

– Full-Time (37.5 hours/week), Permanent position –

The Social Services Division is hiring a Shelter Attendant at the City’s Family Shelter.  This is a permanent, full-time position with a schedule of Wednesday-Sunday, 4pm to 12:30 am. –

Duties include monitoring residents sleeping areas, conducting buildings safety checks, completing shelter intakes, shift reports and client census data, providing after hours general assistance and other duties as required.

Requirements: Graduation from high school with experience in crisis intervention, mental illness, and substance use; or any combination of experience and training.  Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.    Preference for experience working with homeless population or experience working in a homeless shelter.

Pay range starting at $18.51/hour.
