The Oral Health Center (OHC) is the clinical education center for UNE’s College of Dental Medicine.  At the state-of-the-art clinic, UNE dental students address a wide variety of comprehensive dental care, which encompasses all major dental services, under the supervision of licensed faculty dentists, at affordable fees.  All current clinic compliance policies are adhered to in order to ensure a healthy, safe environment for patients and employees.


The OHC Receptionist team of five is key to the success of the OHC.  The position is responsible for telephone and in person interaction with patients, students, staff and faculty at the OHC. Duties include greeting patients, interviewing new patients over the telephone, registering and checking-in patients, as well as recording patient demographics in the clinic information system creating an electronic patient record. In addition, the Receptionist collects payments at time of appointment, enters MaineCare insurance information and verifies MaineCare coverage and demonstrates a strong customer focus while representing the values of the UNE College of Dental Medicine.
