
Chris McLaughlin, MSW, LCSW (he/him/his) is a licensed clinical social worker, educator, and the owner and lead consultant of Inspired Consulting Group, LLC. Chris has more than 25 years of experience in behavioral health, serving youth and families across a wide range of clinical, educational, and community-based settings. He obtained both his BA and MSW from the University of Maine in Orono. Chris proudly served as the Executive Director of the Maine Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) from 2022 – 2025 where he led professional development, advocacy efforts, and legislative strategy for the Chapter. He currently serves as adjunct faculty at several Maine universities and is pursuing his Doctor of Social Work degree at the University of New England. A lifelong learner in leadership, coaching, and mentoring, he is a graduate of the Disney Institute leadership program and the Daniel Hanley Health Leadership Development program in Maine, and he holds two certifications in Diversity and Inclusion and Building a Diverse Workforce from Cornell University. Chris is the creator of the Inspired Allies certificate program, dedicated to supporting professionals in providing affirming services to LGBTQIA+ individuals, and he co-hosts the Inspired Insights podcast, which centers topics of wellness, mental health, and the LGBTQIA+ lived experience. Chris is known for his passionate, engaging approach and his deep commitment to inclusive and equity-driven work. He and his husband live in Hermon, Maine with their 3 dogs, Anna, Becky, and Sawyer.
