Kelly Buchanan, PHR, has nearly 25 years of experience in human resources across government, for-profit, and nonprofit sectors. She currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Operations at Girl Scouts of Maine, where she leads Human Resources and Business Operations for the statewide organization. In this role, Kelly has focused on developing talent initiatives, cultivating a values-driven organizational culture, and advancing the mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. She works in close partnership with the Board of Directors to support governance-related initiatives to ensure strong organizational leadership.

Throughout her career, Kelly has been passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others by fostering inclusive workplaces, supporting leadership development, and building strong, purpose-driven teams. She has a collaborative leadership style, strategic mindset, and deep commitment to equity and empowerment. Kelly has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Keene State College and in her free time, she loves to travel.
