Marissa has been a Human Resources professional for over ten years and is currently the HR Director at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. She is a Maine transplant, having moved here from Illinois in 2022. She has held strategic positions on the leadership teams of mission-driven organizations where she created employee wellness programs, improved training and development, increased employee engagement, and stewarded Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility work across the organization. 

Marissa believes in making a difference in the lives of employees by providing support and resources and by helping to cultivate a positive, engaging, and inclusive culture where people love to come to work. In January 2023, she became a Co-Chair of the Board of the Diversity Hiring Coalition.
